Former Marikina Mayor and now MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando has thrown his hat into the basket of Presidential hopefuls. Fernando further explained that he has started courting his partymates from LAKAS-CMD to pick him as the standard bearer for the administration come 2010. Citing 98% awareness level and his executive experience, Fernando believes that he is the most suited for the top post in the Philippines.

I’m impressed with his strong political will and determination to get things done. Now the challenge is for him to prove himself not only to his party, but to the public, especially the masses whom he has been at war with through his demolition and road projects. A lot of people has been asking Bayani Fernando to run for president. In fact, the “Marikina News – Bayani Fernando for President website” has around 2.3 million visitors already. Bayani Fernando is a real pro – poor executive, giving homes to 11,000 squatters as mayor of marikina and giving jobs to thousand jobless. We Filipinos should be happy that he declared that he is running.

what exactly is so wrong if he knows how to implement laws but not how to empathize with the people? Obviously, the current government system we have ALREADY has checks and balances as to not allow any single leader to undermine and curtail essential human rights. Our government system, however, does not have very strong checks and balances against leaders without the political will to implement laws properly in fear of backlash from the people.
His fashion sense, on the other hand, is totally whack, though. I mean, neon blue and pink. Lol.

The Political Dynasty of the Fernandos in Marikina will be ending in 2010. Mayor MCF cant anymore run and her adopted daughter, Tala, is still very young and has not been prepared for the post.
Incumbent Vice Mayor Andres, on his last term, will fight for mayor. Rep. Del De Guzman, on his last term will also fight for mayor. Dr. Cadiz, number Councilor, will also fight for Mayor and Seseng De los Angeles will also fight.
Marikenos do not want the Fernandos anymore so they are pushing BF to fight for Senator or any national office or remain in MMDA. In fact, even the city hall employees are conniving against the Fernandos. Evidence: the house numbering memos given to every houses is not color pink or blue and did not have the name of MCF or BF.
BF is also avoiding to run for Mayor so he declared himself as presidential candidate of Lakas NUCD. He is avoiding to fight Rep. Del De Guzman because De Guzman is undefeated from councilor, vice mayor to congressman. BF was defeated 3 times. “At kasabihan dito sa Marikina na ang De Guzman ang laging pumapatay sa Fernando.” Evidence: Osmundo De Guzman versus GIl Fernando. Osmundo won and Gil was not able to come back after that.
But then, Lakas-Kampi is not stupid to pick BF as presidential candidate over Noli. Noli was a number 1 senator, a sitting vice president, number one in the survey(BF is only number 9), with 30% acceptance rating (BF is only 4%).
Lakas -Kampi is inteligent that they will coalesce with LP or NP and have either Villar or Roxas as VP of Noli. Villar or Roxas will like it because they will be sure winner and will spend less. Besides VP is a jumping board for presidency for 2016 just like Erap, PGMA and now what Noli is doing.
BF can not form another party and run for president or VP, he has no money. His kickbacks in MMDA are not enough to fund a nationwide machinery.He can not attract political handlers of national stature. Thise people go to the sure winner and Noli is the sure winner.
So, BF will be forced to fight Rep. Del De Guzman for mayor of Marikina, that is why all the councilors and barangay captains and kagawads alligned with De Guzman are being marginalized slowly. MCF will aspire for MMDA chairman but if Noli wins with BF on the other side, MCF will never be appointed. She will probably go back to BF Metals.
2010 is a sweet revenge of the poor squatters BF demolished under the rain without relocation. It is the revenge of poor sidewalk vendors whose puhunan were just barrowed from the bombay who whose items were comfiscated by BF and poured with gas.
The Fernandos are too cruel to be in public service.
Stop dreaming. Be realistic.
