Remember this picture? That was when Mr. Romulo Neri implicated COMELEC Chairman Benjamin Abalos in the NBN-ZTE Scandal in a Senate hearing. At that point in time, he was really a symbol of morality and truth, and it looked like he was a true statesman. However, it looks like we should call him Darth “Neri” now. Why? He has definitely joined the dark side. I’m not sure what the administration did to make him sell his soul, but it’s apparent that he’s cast his morals aside and that he will do just about anything to protect GMA’s presidency.
Just like Darth Vader in Star Wars, it’s never too late. He can still redeem himself. That’s a choice that he will have to make and I pray that he will make the correct one when the time comes.
