MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando has several tarpaulin ads posted all over EDSA. 3/4 of the poster is his picture and there’s some obscure message about morals at the bottom. There’s even a statement there saying that the poster was government property and mere possession of it was punishable by law.
What’s annoying here that the poster is an obvious misuse of taxpayer’s money. It’s not there to remind us to be good citizens! The damn poster is there so that BF can get exposure since he’s courting LAKAS to endorse him as their presidential candidate for 2010. It’s times like this that I really hate losing a huge chunk of my salary. I’ll try to get a picture so I can post it here tomorrow.

He has been after the EDSA billboards like they are the most evil thing invented and the sole cause of the traffic anarchy for years, and now he uses our hard-earned money for gigantic tarps with his face on it to hang in the middle of EDSA? Pardon my vehemence, but that is just plain disgusting.
Grabe, our politicos here in the Philippines really have a talent for giving new meaning to the phrase, “Ang kakapal ng mukha.”

But who is really the best next president? Is Bayani Fernando the better alternative?
We say yes….please allow us to explain..
1. BF is a good man. He was a sacristan as a young boy and was an Outstanding Boy Scout. He is the only boy in the family and is pampered with enough love so, he will return this love to our people.
2. BF is well bred and nationalistic. He can sing. His name, and name of his sisters (Mayumi, Ligaya) are all native. He named his only child Tala.
3. BF is pro poor. He gave homes to 11, 000 squatters. Recovered the sidewalks for poor people to pass. He exact discipline to rich and poor alike, so that the poor will equalize with the rich. Fix the house of poor people in Metro Guwapo. Provided low cost hostel to poor provincianos who are in Manila in the Port Area.
4. BF is not corrupt. Before he joined politics, he is already super rich with his companies constructing tall buildings in Makati. One lot owner who sold her lot to MMDA for a water pump anti – flood project in Tondo, Grace Dyjamco, said that what BF only requested from her is for her to take good care of the squatters inside their lot – pay them – before the deal was on.
5. BF Gets things Done. Remember before he was the MMDA chairman – traffic was worse, garbage are everywhere..now its all fixed. As a president,he can fix our poverty problem, corruption problem, electoral problem,…he has a way of doing things and its working.You can see results at once.
6. BF is Brave and Heroic. As a young businessman during EDSA Revolution, he sent his construction equipments to EDSA to block the pro-Marcos tanks and protect the people. Colorum buses are protected by Generals..he impounded them, never afraid of the bullets of the general..BF is a type of leader who can die for his people.

What really scares me is that BF’s tack just might work. *shudder* Even though BF may not have that many supporters, vis-a-vis Villar or Noli who have vast amounts of money and machinery at their disposal, BF’s supporters are loyal and avid. A group of them have even taken time to make up this “marea from heaven” bullcrap and posted it all over the internet. It’s all over the place. It’s either that, or one of BF’s enemies has the crass craftiness of circulating disgusting propaganda in BF’s name.

Come on. I’d rather have BF than MAR ROXAS! Walang plataporma, puro TV. Ginagamit pa si Korina. MAR is not in my top 3 even. Doon na tayo sa may nagagawa.
Bayani Fernando get things done. It’s as simple as that. He will not back down from a responsibility for fear of losing votes. He is not afraid to speak his mind or do what is right for fear of being criticized. He knows what he has to do in order to put things in the correct perspective. He has done a lot of good things to people and to this country. I hope we don’t forget these things when we considering who to vote for.
