You give them way too much credit. Maybe they’re smart, maybe not. But do we really have to dither on this when the sorry state of the country presents itself as hard evidences of their ineptitude.

Yes, the increase in gas prices do affect all social classes but the rich drive SUV gas guzzlers and can still afford to pay the higher gas prices and they won’t go broke either.

So how to help the poor. Not easy to find an answer.

Helping the farmers is the best way to help everyone.
Locally produced food should have smaller transportation costs and leaves more money in the country.
