Normally when we hear about so called "call center generation" you always think of youth , young generation but this conception changed gradually and many middle age people and even old age people , like shown in this video joined the industry and they are actually performing well.

One misconception I had when I first entered the call center industry two and a half years ago is that it was only for young people. To my surprise, some of the people in my first training class and even when I was applying were as old as my parents, some even older. Some of them were just like, Patricia Salvant, overseas workers who came home and worked here rather than go back abroad. Some came from other industries who, just like me at the time wanted to try their luck and take a bite out of the call center pie. And these people didn't apply for higher up positions, they were applying for customer service representatives and technical support agents, what people generally call as call center agents.

Like all businesses, call centers are looking for a workforce that can do specific tasks and posses certain talents. As it turns out what they need are not only found in the youth but also in the experienced.
