Have you ever wondered what the single digit car plates stand for? Most of the time cars with plates like these have several motorcycle escorts and back-up vehicles with matching goons. I’m very familiar with this because my grandfather used to have them. When he was a Senator, he had 7. When he was the Senate President, he had 3. Lastly, when he was the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, he had 6. To those who don’t know what numbers 1 – 13 stand for, you’ll find out after taking the jump.

Thanks for the informative update…
The use of Government plate is a privilage… it can be easily taken away from them if they are not lawful in using this plate. They only misrepresent the authority of the Governewmnt and an insult to the law abiding citizen.
my father used no.12 for undersecretary and no.6 for secretary/national defense, public works secretary with escort….

Your comment is too broad. Can you be more specific?
Abuse of government privileges (such as these autos), is if these privileges are used for non-official (and non-security) reasons/purposes – generally speaking.
But if it’s for official (and security) reasons/purposes, it is their privilege to, for example, cut the flow of traffic in favor of these government officials.
