MANILA, Philippines — Interior Secretary Ronaldo Puno announced on Thursday his plan to run for vice president in 2010.
Puno said he would seek the nomination of the administration coalition when it holds its convention.
“I will be seeking the nod and approval of the joint party as vice president… I would like to participate in the nomination proceedings,” Puno told reporters.
On Thursday, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will preside over the merger of the administration parties Lakas Christian Muslim Democrats and Kabalikat ng Malayang Pilipino (KMP).
