As more and more names are entered into the Presidential race, it’s no wonder that politicians are also starting to eye the 2nd highest position in the country. MANILA, Philippines — Interior Secretary Ronaldo Puno announced on Thursday his plan to run for vice president in 2010.

Puno said he would seek the nomination of the administration coalition when it holds its convention.

“I will be seeking the nod and approval of the joint party as vice president… I would like to participate in the nomination proceedings,” Puno told reporters.

On Thursday, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will preside over the merger of the administration parties Lakas Christian Muslim Democrats and Kabalikat ng Malayang Pilipino (KMP).

    Ronaldo Puno is a sure winner at everything he has ever done in politics. He is simply brilliant,pure and simple.The perfect candidate, I will vote for him anywhere, anytime, anyplace.
    He will help run the country like a Swiss clock.It is imperative for the Philippines to have a leader like him to lead us into stability & prosperity.Vote for him.
