Special Food Trip Episode: 30 Inch Gigantic Pizza!

Friday, August 1st, 2008

I attended my small group meeting for Victory Christian Fellowship with Pastor Dennis last evening. One of our friends there brought in a huge pizza and we were really floored when we saw how big the thing was! They had trouble bringing it in the house because it couldn’t fit through the door. When it finally came to eat, I personally had trouble taking in the pizza slice since it was too big for both my hands (you’ll see in a picture after the jump). Here’s a pic of the box of the pizza.

Food Trip Episode 3: Mongkok

Wednesday, July 16th, 2008

For the third episode of Food Trip, I decided to feature a restaurant that you can easily find in malls. Mich and myself decided to eat Chinese food for tonight and the first one we saw while we were strolling in SM North EDSA was Mongkok in the Car Park/Cyber Zone building. We went in, quickly got seated, and started going through the menu. The waiter recommended we try their seafood so we ordered the fried garlic squid, yang chow fried rice, and chinese beefsteak. Here’s a picture of the dishes:

Food Trip Episode 2: Finio

Sunday, July 13th, 2008

For the second episode of Food Trip, I’ll talk about another restaurant in Quezon City. Located along Tomas Morato (across Alfredo’s), Finio is a simple looking restaurant that doesn’t really stand out when compared to the other establishments in the area. However, you’re in for a surprise because the food here is really superb and is priced just right. Before I proceed, I’d like to thank my auntie Toots for treating Mich and myself!

Food Trip Episode 1: Gusi’s Restaurant

Saturday, July 12th, 2008

Bwahahaha. I’ve decided to write about another passion of mine - EATING! I really eat out a lot so I might as well write about the restaurants that I visit. Maybe someday new restaurants will invite me to do reviews about their establishments, hehe. Anyway, for the first episode of Food Trip, I’ll talk about a newly opened place in Timog. It’s along the street of ABS-CBN, Mother Ignacia. It’s called Gusi’s and it’s primarily Filipino themed. We decided to check it out since it’s a new place and they were offering 20% discount. It’s also actually nice to visit newly opened restaurants because they sometimes give you free food and that’s exactly what happened! We got a free appetizer - Longanisa Nachos.
