Senator Jun Lozada?

Sunday, May 3rd, 2009

Thanks to Mike Defensor, Jun Lozada may find himself as a Senator come the 2010 elections. They guy has faded from the limelight due to the barrage of controversies that followed after the NBN Scandal. However, Mike Defensor put him back in front of news papers and television shows with his filing of perjury charges. With Mar Roxas and Noynoy Aquino extending a helping hand to J-Lo, it’s probable that if ever he does run for Senate, he’ll be on the slate of the Liberal Party. Interesting don’t you think?

Mar Roxas and Korina Sanchez at Wowowee

Saturday, April 25th, 2009

Saturday’s Wowowee held a very interesting surprise for all the regular viewers. Senator Mar Roxas and ABS CBN Journalist Korina Sanchez made a sudden appearance in one of the segments. The couple was interviewed on how they got engaged and what Mar did to propose. Video was recently uploaded on Youtube and I’d like to share it with everyone today.

Real love? Romance? Politics? Mix of all three. Congratulations to Senator Roxas and Korina!

Mar Roxas: I have a vision for our country.

Saturday, April 4th, 2009

I found this video on Youtube about Senator Mar Roxas. It’s an interview about his plans should he win the Presidential elections in 2010. In this video, Mar goes on to explain his agenda for the Philippines and does so with confidence and passion. This is exactly the reason why I support Senator Roxas. He knows what needs to be done and he’s willing to go the lengths to implement the laws and reforms needed to move this country forward. Watch the video after the break. (more…)

The latest SWS survey results are out and it looks like there’s a change of momentum. Buoyed by his aggressive leadership against the pre-need debacle of Legacy, Senator Mar Roxas surged with +5 rating points for the month of February. Note that majority of the media came out on March so we can expect him to soar even further when the next results are out. Another big gainer is Senator Escudero, who has also been harping on the same issue. (more…)

Billions to be spent in 2010 for Campaign Funds?

Thursday, August 28th, 2008

This is in response to a recent article published on Inquirer.Net about how politicians overspent in the 2007 Senatorial Elections for their media campaigns. This was pointed out by election watchdog group called Pera’t Pulitika. Apparently they got their data from a credible source - AC Nielsen, one of the premiere research agencies in the world. The cap is P135M and that’s already a lot of cash to spend on media if you ask me. According to the article, Prospero Pichay led the group of over-spenders hitting an estimated media spending of P224M. The other senators who overspent were Villar, Arroyo, Angara, Defensor, and Legarda. The total combined spending of these 6 senators reached more than P700M, and that’s just for a Senatorial campaign in a 90-day period. With this in mind, I pose 3 questions. The first one is how the hell will these politicians get an ROI for this major investment? The second one is how much more money will be spent on 2010 when we see some of the richest men on this country battle it out for the Presidency? Lastly, why weren’t the violators sanctioned? Launch of Senator Roxas’ Blog and his MRT Adventures

Saturday, August 2nd, 2008

Senator Mar Roxas launched his official blog last Friday during a blogger meet up at Annabel’s restaurant in Tomas Morato. This is actually one of the projects that we’ve been working on lately and it’s really good to finally see it materialize. First, let me clarify a few things - Senator Roxas will not be the only person writing and posting. He’ll try to post once a week and we will have several contributing writers provide other content to make sure that the blog is constantly updated. (more…)

Blogger Meet up with Senator Mar Roxas

Saturday, August 2nd, 2008

As Senator Mar Roxas’ consultant on New Media, I arranged for him to have a casual dinner with some bloggers covering different topics and niches. The event happened yesterday (August 1, 2008) at Annabel’s Restaurant along Tomas Morato. I was very nervous at first since I barely had 3 days to organize everything! Despite the very short notice, a lot of bloggers were able to attend and we all had a really interesting and fun evening as the bloggers engaged Senator Roxas in discussions about politics, Batman, and current events.

Philippine Senate Field Trip: Senator Waukster?

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

I was at the Philippine Senate today to meet some clients and it was really fun walking around the building. You get to bump into very interesting people there and I was also able to get a glimpse of the hearings this afternoon. Of course my day wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t take any pictures! I decided to be a little more daring and my auntie and friend told me that I could actually sneak in a picture after the session. Presenting… Senator Waukster! XD

Senator Roxas on Removing VAT on Oil Products

Friday, July 18th, 2008

I was recently invited to join a group on Facebook which basically aims to lobby for the removal of the VAT on oil products. This was one of the videos that was uploaded and it pretty much sums up all of the major points why the VAT should be temporarily taken out. The video is about the main proponent of this movement, Senator Mar Roxas, in an interview on “Umaga kay Ganda”.

Senator Roxas Interview Transcript: Suspend VAT on Oil

Monday, July 7th, 2008

Here’s something interesting - Senator Mar Roxas is really pushing for the suspension of VAT on oil. Like what I said in my previous post, this will give conusmers some relief in the on-going global gas crisis. I got this transcript from my Tita’s post in her blog. There are some really good insights in it so I’d like to share it with everyone, especially since the gas issue is one of the most pressing problems we have as a nation.

Transcript of Senator Mar Roxas’ interview on DWIZ with Cely Bueno
July 5, 2008 5:00 p.m.
